I have loved rocking horses for as long as I can remember. They have always been magic to me, especially when I was a young child. So many years ago that was, I have raised a brood of my own and have grand children now who would love to have a rocking horse of their own. I am searching for just the right rocking horse for the two of them, once I find the right horse I will pass along the joy of a rocking horse to them.
I can remember madly rockling on a horse and envisioning that I was galloping at top speeds with the wind whipping through my hair as a child on a rocking horse. I absolutely saw myself riding a real horse in my minds eye and I was sooo proud of myself for my horsemanship. I was about 5 years old at that time.
Anytime we visited someone that had a rocking horse I was drawn like a moth to a flame to the rocking horse. Of course I had to ask if I could ride the horse first, and if I was allowed to I was in seventh heaven.
I still love rocking horses, there is something mystical about them still to me. And I am a grown woman over 55 years old!
The rocking horse was my favorite toy growing up, hands down except for my Barbie dolls, which also provided me hours upon hours of entertainment through my imagination.
I have dedicated this blog to the rocking horse because I love them so. It is my chance to explore the world of the rocking horse. If I provide someone else with a small amount of pleasure through this rocking horse blog, then I will have accomplished my goal in setting up this blog.
Happy trails to you!
